Mezocare was born from a shared belief that healthcare should be affordable, accessible, and exceptional. These values are often missing in today’s U.S. healthcare system. After experiencing firsthand the financial and emotional toll of navigating expensive and fragmented care, our founders CJ Walter-Hague and Mitchell Hooper set out to create a better solution.

While the U.S. healthcare system focuses on curing symptoms, the Mexican healthcare system prioritizes treating the patient. This approach emphasizes preventative care, ensuring better outcomes and a more personalized experience. Mezocare was created to offer an alternative to the broken U.S. healthcare system, delivering a patient-centered approach that prioritizes safety, affordability, and high-quality care while empowering individuals to take control of their health journeys.

After 15 surgeries and years navigating the broken U.S. healthcare system, CJ Walter-Hague saw firsthand how patients are often treated like numbers, not people. That reality hit even harder when a severe arm injury was dismissed without proper evaluation, leading to a long and frustrating battle with a major hospital system.

His perspective changed when his parents received life saving, patient first care in Mexico City. Their recoveries, after facing cancer and a rare brain condition, showed him what healthcare could look like when it puts people first. Then in 2021, the loss of his younger brother to the opioid crisis cemented his commitment to build something better.

With over 15 years of experience as a business intelligence and growth expert, including executive roles at WPP working with leading healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations, CJ brings a track record of driving innovation and building solutions that truly serve people.

As a world champion strongman and health professional, Mitchell Hooper knows the power of the human body and the importance of caring for it. From playing football at the University of Guelph to winning the title of World’s Strongest Man, his journey has been fueled by a deep commitment to health and performance. Mitchell holds three world records and has finished on the podium in 23 consecutive elite competitions, making him one of the most accomplished athletes in strength sports history.

Outside of competition, Mitchell has dedicated his career to helping others improve their health and quality of life. He runs a Kinesiology clinic in Canada focused on personalized recovery programs for injuries and chronic conditions, combining science, empathy, and movement to deliver real results. After experiencing the compassion and quality of care available in Mexico, Mitchell felt a responsibility to help more people access that same standard of treatment.
